Safe House Music & Media Academy Inc. (commonly known as SHMA) was formed to bring music, film, and digital media based education and intern training to   underserved youth in the Greater Dayton Metro Area. SHMA’s goal is to assist atudents and participants in learning life and vocational skills through music, film and digital media creation, while hoping to give at-risk and enter city teens, and children, a “SAFE” space to develop, learn, and progress in.

Creativity and innovation Skills:

Audio, film and television production is a creative process that requires students to come up with new ideas and solve problems. This can help students develop their creative problem-solving skills, as well as their imagination and innovation.

Problem Solving:

Film and television production is a complex process that requires students to coordinate the work of many different people. This can help students learn how to work effectively as part of a team and how to solve problems that arise during the production process.

Communication Skills:

Audio, film and television production requires students to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including artists, bands, actors, directors, producers, and crew members. This can help students develop their verbal and written communication skills, as well as their ability to work collaboratively.

Technical Skills:

Audio, film and television production requires students to learn how to use a variety of technical equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and sound recording equipment. This can help students develop their technical skills and
their understanding of how these technologies work.

Business Skills:

Audio, film and television production is a business, and students need to understand the business aspects of the industry. This can help students learn how to develop and market their work, as well as how to work with investors and distributors.
